Studio Museum in Harlem

OK.

So yes its a shame that on any average Harlem day; Harlem's residents have no immediate idea of the Studio Museum in Harlem or what it's about. Is it a black museum, a history museum....it's neither...but it's definitely a political museum of contemporary modern black art. But wait...it isn't black art...it's art by artists of African descent. So basically you might venture into the museum and see a picture of a bowl of shit and it'll be called art. Sucks but the Art World has never been about self-taught artists, truth telling, or laid out meaning...

So figure it out for yourself.
